Soccer Equipment
What equipment will my child need?
- Soccer equipment includes an appropriate uniform, athletic shoes or cleats *, shin guards, an appropriate sized soccer ball, and a water bottle (since it will get warm and players need to replenish fluids).
*Players may desire to have a pair of cleats. Metal cleats are not allowed. Toe cleats (i.e., a shoe with a cleat right at the toe, such as a baseball or football cleat) are also not allowed.
Where do I get the equipment?
- Uniforms are available at registration from AYSO. (Please bring your child along to help size the uniform or know your childs sizes!) Our uniform includes 2 jerseys, shorts, and soccer socks.
- The remaining equipment is available at AYSO or can be obtained from local department and sporting good stores.
My children have outgrown their uniform and cleats? What can I do with them?
- Our region will accept donations of used cleats and uniform items. Kids grow rapidly, and most need new shoes yearly, resulting in a lot of slightly used cleats. Please recycle your used cleats!
- We make the used cleats available at registration on a first-come/first served basis to anyone who finds a pair that fits.
- Used uniforms are used as part of our scholarship program.
